I have a dell inspiron 910 felled by about 7 feet. LCD cover cracked, lcd did’t funtion properly(vertical lines appearing). Boot normal @ first but after i pressed the lcd cover. The lcd doesn’t display anymore and heard only beeps whenever I press the keys.

Hi,
I have a toshiba satellite A300 series laptop,I dropped it but there’s no physical damage to it,the only problem am having is that it freezes completely after I about 2minutes after I boot it and now its just going off after sometime.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Hello there. Today, I dropped something heavy on my laptop. Then, it restarted. It says “disk reading error”, and thats it. Its a pavillion dm3. Is it that my hard disk is totally crashed? Are the any chances that it can be fixed? It contains lots of documents in it and can I retrieve them?

Hello, I dropped my Toshiba Satellite about two weeks ago while walking home from college. At the time, only the screen stopped working, it went black, but the backlight was still functional, and if I connected it to an external device, the computer would work fine.

Recently it’s begun to have more problems, like, it’ll freeze randomly and the only thing I can do to try and get it working is to hard reset it. Now, recently when I go to turn it on, it won’t. You can see the battery indicator and the ON light come on when you press the power. You can also hear things turning and making normal noises inside of it when it’s on, but nothing happens on the screen, the back light does not even come on anymore, and nothing happens on my external device.

I would like to know what part of my laptop I can look at on the inside, as I cannot afford to have it repaired. Thanks.

i also have toshiba L300, never dropped, less than 2 years old, will not post, will not boot, nothing, no noise, no sign of life, no help from toshiba.

Dead AC adapter?

Im having a prob with my toshiba l300, wont boot at all, no lights or anything, no noise, nothing, anybody??

a lot of you can fix your pcs by logging into safe mode(when pc is booting keep pressing f8 to go to safe mode)
once in safe mode go into start programs accessories system tools system restore and restore to a date the pc worked.

should help some of you

my toshiba nb 200 doesn’t boot up.. When I power it up, the backlight goes on, the fan goes on, and I see the HD light blink a bit. Nothing else.

howzit

My b/inlaw dropped his Toshiba L300-20n. it booted the first time, thereafter just goes past bios. says something about some files missing. read some of the other questions and checked mem and cards. lcd is working and i can access hdd. the recovery is on the hdd. downloaded some programs to get the recovery going, but no go. can you please give me some advice.

i dropped my compaq presario v5000 and the screen wont work the computer works i hear it loading up and the backlight comes on but the screen is blank and one time i was white with lines how do i fix this
