Do you know if the hinges for a Toshiba Satellite A15-s157 PSA10U-01C8WV are interchangeable? For example, would the hinges from an a15-s127 work on a Toshiba Satellite A15-s157 PSA10U-01C8WV? I had also herd that some Tecra models, and some A10 models would also work for my Toshiba Satellite A15-s157 PSA10U-01C8WV but before I buy I wanted to ask you about interchangeabilty of these parts, since you are far more experienced and knowledgable with all these models..and, Thank you in advance

Toshiba Satellite A10 and A15 laptops may have three different base types. One base is marked with a letter “S”, the second one with a letter “C” and the last one with a letter “P”. In most cases this letter is stamped on the bottom of the laptop base in the battery compartment area but sometimes the letter could be located in a different spot.
You’ll have to use different hinges for different bases.

Here are part numbers:
- Left hinge: P000377630 for base with letter “S”
- Left hinge: P000379650 for base with letter “C”
- Left hinge: P000392930 for base with letters “C” or “P”

- Right hinge: P000377640 for base with letter “S”
- Right hinge: P000379660 for base with letter “C”
- Right hinge: P000392940 for base with letters “C” or “P”

You can use hinges from a Satellite A10 or A15 laptop on another Satellite A10 or A15 laptop if both units have similar bases. You can search for new or used hinges here.
