I'm using an IBM t30 .. and recently when i turn it on... well first the IBM logo is shown, then the screen just goes... some black and white pattern (sorry, my enlish is too horrible to describe it. I'd take a picture, but I don't like shutting down and turning on again)
However when I remove the battery then place it back again, it goes back to normal.

Could you spot the problem here? :X
Thanks a million times.

Hello,

I have a M30-604 Toshiba. Sudently last week it had some problems. At the begining it would not boot (procedure would stop at some (ealy) point, then it would reboot itself. Sometimes it would eventually boot to windows and after some time it could crash (black screen). It seems that it is a problem with the video card (embeded unfortunately). I opened it, just in case, and now, after closing it it behaves "better". In the display after some time appear some vertical-horizontal lines indicating video card problems, but when i hit the laptop lightly with my fingers they change, some times they disappear (for short time), other times the computer crashes.

Can I do something? (i.e. if there is a problematic soldering somewhere?) or motherboard replacement is the only option?

Thanks a lot
