It shuts down without warning when operating on battery power. It usually happens within minutes of unpluggig the AC power. The battery indicator shows plenty of charge when it happens. I even switched batteries from another 1501 and it still does the same thing. It runs fine and never shuts down when plugged into AC power. I first thought it was a heat problem and replaed a noisy fan. I do hear the fan working. If it was a heat poblem it should shut down when on AC power. Any help would be appreciated. I didn't realize that my HP had the intake on the bottom and was being blocked when I would have my laptop on a tray on (of all things) my lap.
