Windows did not start normally keeps looping on startup. Help?because of shut down did not successfully,my pc did not open normally.it stucks with only lights no windows xp open.
All four options such as safe mode, safe mode with networking, etc, Start windows normally, and last know configuration does not work. It simply restarts over and over.

i have a toshiba satellite L305-S5944 it got a 32 bit intel duo-core pentium 3. The problem I am having is that when i go to boot it up unless the bios is in the default settings I get a really bad beeping noise. it's a noise like ahhhhhhhhhhhh it doesn't have a rythmn to it like it's 1 long 2 short. it's just loud and obnoxius. I tried flashing the bios which went successfully. however that didn't solve the problem. I tried reformatting and installing the OS after the OS and the browser especially started acting funny like being in IE and the file tab would start acting funny so i would reset back and it would be okay for awhile then it go and do the same thing within 20 minutes. I did a virus check w/ norton and a spyware search I've got no clue what the story is. if i am trying to boot from a disk I can't do it the noise comes on. it's driving me crazy.

All 5 of these options do not work and it continues after pressing one to restart and go back to the same screen. Can anyone help please?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1526. There is a problem with it when I turn it off for hours. It does not boot up though the lights turn on. All I see are the lights and a blank screen and no Dell logo. But if I try to turn it off and on and off and on again, it goes back to work as perfect as it can be. No problem as long as it is on. It does not freeze nor stops. It even turns on perfectly when it was just turned off. The only problem is when it was shut down for a long time or for some hours. But every time it happens, I just have to keep turning it off and on and off and on until the Dell logo appears and then presto it will work perfectly again until the next time I turn it off for a long time. Any idea what is wrong? Thanks.

Dave,

Brand new dell inspiron laptop with windows 7 i got for christmas. Was on it for 10 min. It froze when i was on the internet. I went to turn off my new dell laptop yesterday and it said please do not unplug or turn of your computer uploading updates. It has been loading 3 of 4 updates for over 24 hours. It says resuming windows and then goes to a black screen that says that. What happened and how do i fix it??

Not sure what's going on.
Here's what you can try.
Turn on the laptop and as soon as Dell logo appears on the screen press F8. Select "Last Known Good Configuration" from the menu, press Enter and see if it helps.

Here's another trick. Unplug the AC adapater, remove the battery. Press on the power button for a few seconds. Now plug in the AC adapter and try turning it on.
