Keyboard keys work only if I press and hold them and make beeping noise
All of a sudden the keys will only work if I press and hold them and it also makes a beeping noise – I think a combination of keys have been pressed. Any idea which keys I have pressed and how to disable this?
It looks like you have “Turn on filter keys” function enabled.
Here’s how to disable it in Vista.
1. Go to the Control Panel.
2. Click on Ease of Access Center.
3. Click on Make the keyboard easier to use.
4. Uncheck Turn on Filter Keys.

Fair play to you bud, I was trying everything including updating drivers and was about to go onto ebay to replace the keyboard when I stumled accross this site. Heres how to disable them on XP by the way
Control Panel >> Accessibility Options >> Remove checkmark on keyboard Filter.
Thanks Again

I have keyboard issues with the number keys only. Everytime I have the Num Lock feature on and I hit numbers, letters appear. Why? This is so frustrating! Help!

My HP G7000 Laptop keyboard does not work each time I start the system unless I press fn then F2 keys.
The problem started 3 months ago. Anybody know what I can do to solve the problem?
