Dell M1330 screen went black then came back on then black again

Have a 2 year old Dell M1330 laptop. Yesterday the screen went black then came back on then black again and after that the screen turned teal and went nuts….. like it almost looked like if you went to a tv channel that wasn’t there. Then I shut it off because nothing would work and tried turning it on and it came to a white screen and after ten mins could see a screen that said something but the image was super blurry and I could not read it, only see an outline of the box on the screen. Now it came back on, but it has happened twice. Any ideas???? Let me know what you think! Thanks!!!!!

Possible video card failure. This Dell laptop might have a problem with the graphics card failure.

Take a look if your Dell M1330 laptop listed in the affected models.

I dropped my Dell Studio 15 laptop from the top bunk and it cut off. I turned it on and when I left, and I guess it turned off again, so my brother turned it on. When I cam up it was off again and I turned it back on. It started up normally and I was able to log on and do things as usual. After about 20 minutes it cut off completely. When I tried to turn it back on, the enitre screen wouldn’t come on. Everything else sounded normal and the power light was on. The only thing wrong was that the screen won’t come on. after about three tries it loaded again and was working fine. It even went into hibernate mode and started working again. When I finised working on it it, I turned it off and left it for a few hours. When I tried to turn it back on it cfame back on normally, but as soon as I started opening things, it cut off. Then the same problem repeated. I took the battery out and it tried to start up but then it cut off. I took the hard drive out and I started up, but as soon as I tried to log in it cut off again. What’s wrong with it? Is it fixable, or do I need to get a new one?

You have a great helpful service & I know time is tight for you so just a quicky. My Dell Inspiron 9400 – at random freezes with loads of multicoloured lines across the screen, when this happens it makes an horribal fast continual ‘click click click’ noise – only option then is to hold down the power button to turn off, then back on again and it starts ok. It can go all day or hours without this happening or it can happen 3 times in one hour. The machine doesn’t get hot and then it happens, it just does out of the blue.

Grateful for any ideas, might it be the graphics card?
    Many thanks

We have an HP DV6-3064ca laptop with a touch screen. It was involved in a car accident and the screen has spider web cracks in it and the touch part no longer works. We can view the LCD itself just fine. HP has been no help in determining what replacement parts we might need to get the touchscreen working again. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

hello, I have a Dell XPS 1530. Screen boots up black, but sound is present and I can log in, but I cant see anything. When I connect via a VGA cable to a desktop monitor, the creen looks garbeled as if its a “snowed out” TV channel with colour, very pixelated. Im not sure whats causing this, but would like to fix it. Ideas?
